The 28-day detox and Weight loss Program is a unique approach to a healthier, happier life. At Peal MedSpa we believe that the key to losing weight and keeping it off is more than just eating right and getting regular exercise. Reducing the stress, or the toxins in your daily life is key.

We all have stress in our lives. Stress causes an imbalance in blood glucose which creates a craving for carbohydrates and sugar. Additionally, environmental toxins can weigh you down and overload your liver. Toxins are more than physical, however. Psychological and emotional “toxins” feed the cycle of poor nutrition and lack of exercise. Likewise, lack of eating well and regular exercise feeds negative thoughts and feelings. Peal MedSpa addresses the root of the problem – stress management through nutrition, exercise, acupuncture and group education and therapy sessions.

 

Nutrition

Dr. Erica Peirson, licensed naturopathic physician will educate you on your diet and detoxification program. Initial physical evaluation with blood glucose and cholesterol measurements with weekly progress consult.

Dr. Bret Fuller is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and specializes in creating and maintaining health changes in lifestyle. Dr. Fuller will facilitate four weekly groups for the detoxification and weight loss program that
focuses on behavior change.

Week 1: Creating change, set an action plan.
Week 2: Explore resistance and inertia
Week 3: Concept of mindfulness
Week 4: Maintaining positive behavior changes

Body

Dominic Banks, certified professional trainer and owner of Extreme Training will advise you on your fitness plan.

Exercise program
• One hour consultation at Extreme Training
• Stretching, aerobic and weight training
techniques
• Weekly guidelines and goals

SPIRIT

Scientific research shows that with acupuncture, the body produces natural relaxants and pain killers called endorphins. These substances can be depleted when we are overly stressed, either physically or emotionally.

Weekly treatments are provided by licensed acupuncturist Aaron Annis MSOM,Lac.
